Since I fly over LAX
quite often, I'll briefly explain. LAX
has 3 corridors for traffic to pass over. One going over the west side, one for the middle, one for the east side. The west and east side require ATC clearance but the one going over the middle at 3500/4500 feet requires no ATC clearance.. you could fly back and forth until you run out of gas. Only thing required is to stay aligned with the SMO
VOR at 132 degrees..
