Monarch LTN-LGW Flight

Sun May 02, 2004 4:31 am

Monarch have a flight tonight that routes Malaga-Gatwick-Luton (ZB719), with passengers actually flying on their Gatwick-Luton sector. This is a scheduled flight (hence the ZB rather than MON), so it must be a regular (I think). This sector probably takes minutes to complete. Is there any point?

Don't know anything, this is just speculation, but perhaps its just consolodation of the LGW and LTN Malaga routes, due to an aircraft tech, or poor loads?

Well the reason I brought it up is I have a friend on the flight and when he told me the routing I thought he misread something on his ticket. But I've checked the Gatwick site and teletext and its there. I doubt its a tech problem because he was told about it when he booked the ticket (a month ago) and poor loads doesn't make sence as Malaga is a holiday hotspot and its a bank holiday weekend.

I had a friend who flew MYT, STN-LGW-Rhodes, because of crew difficulties and late aircraft combining, so they flew to LGW to pick up a crew member

Isn't that just like a small "hop" and then the aircraft will carry on to another destination? Would be great to do though!!!!
