737 Simulator @ DFW

Mon May 03, 2004 2:33 am

Does anyone have any information about the company that has a full motion 733 simulator at DFW, where you can fly it for $300 or so?

I was thinking of offering it as a present to a family friend's son that's graduating this year.

I remember getting the link to the webpage off of it from airliners.net a few days ago, now I've search both a.net and google and I can't find the place.

Any help would be greatl appreciated!

Nope, sorry, still not what I was looking for. This place is located at the DFW airport, some company with a 737 simulator. They have program with a pre-flight brief, and an hour or two on a 733 simulator. The cost I believe was $349.

Thanks for your help though!

Jay

$300 is pretty pricey, Alteon offers rides in the full flight simulators in Long Beach California for $100 for 30 minutes, and have a better selection of simulators such as the 717, MD11, 737NG, etc

There was a report on the simulator rides

Here is a website

It seems like the flyasim.com website operator rents out the Alteon 737 simulator in Dallas....

It would seem like it would be better to deal directly with Alteon . But the question is does the DFW Alteon training center rent out its simulators like Long Beach and Atlanta?

MidnightMike,
from your other posts you stated Judy does the Atlanta 737NG, but on the Alteon website, Judy Pickett also manages the Dallas training center? so can Jay just contact Judy directly and set up the time to fly? and maybe get the $99/30 minutes pricing that you can get in Long Beach? instead of paying the middle man $349 for the hour?

I really had an enjoyable time for the 1 hour in the MD-11 in Long Beach. Still haven't been able to get some time to show up in Long Beach to try out the 737NG sim....

Dallas does not have any Alteon instructors that are qualified on the 737 in Dallas, so contacting Dallas directly would not do you any good. Whenever you are ready, you can take the 737NG for a ride.
