Not been around for awhile, but this thread caught my eye.
From a front seat point of view, a Trent powered 332 is a gorgeously endearing and impressive piece of kit, able to outclimb virtually anything at max weight; a huge advantage for the company bean counters when you get the desired route at the optimum level at the requested time.
As for the 342/3, what amazes me is that the damn thing is always right; human impulse might sometimes decide on a different level, a different rate of climb or a different way to respond to a situation, but at the end of every sector, I am constantly surprised at the efficiency and cost effectiveness of the thing.
But for pure enjoyment, the 332 wins hands down.............
If only I could give you a 3-way comparison with the 346............... ,-)
