Saha Air B747's

Tue May 04, 2004 6:27 am

I have seen most airlines who operate the B747 and seen a good deal of B747 frames however SAHA air remains elusive! Do they actually operate and if so do they ever operate out of IRAN? Remember several years ago they were to operate freight flights into Amsterdam and Athens but don't think this ever happened?

Saha Air still has three 747-2J9Fs (EP-SHA;-SHB;-SHH) and one 747-131SF (EP-SHD) in operation. This information was obtained from JP Airline Fleets 2003 so it might be a bit outdated. Very often planes are listed as active, although they just sit around the airport for months at a time. Judjing by this photo, taked two years ago, the aircraft seem to be in very good condition so I wouldn't be surprised if they are still airworthy. They are based in Tehran.

Never tell your girlfriend about all the 'action' you're getting at the airport - only photogs understand that.
