SAN-JFK Back To 767-300

Wed May 05, 2004 1:43 pm

I just noticed AA added a 767-300 back to SAN-JFK for the daytime flight.. Any reason for this? I thought they were moving 757's on all the low yeild transcons.

Aircraft scheduling. It is not for long, though. Will only last one month, between now and 9 June.

American has 3 daily flights JFK-SAN-JFK, only one is a 767. The other 2 flights are 757's.

JFK-SAN:
Morning flight: 757
Noon flight: 757
Evening flight: 767

SAN-JFK:
Morning flight: 767
Afternoon flight: 757
Red-eye flight: 757

The 767 is of course a 300 because it's a two-class configured aircraft. Only the 767's operated on JFK-LAX-JFK and JFK-SFO-JFK runs are 200's because those are three-class configured aircraft.

JFK-SNA-JFK, JFK-SJC-JFK and JFK-SEA-JFK equipments are also 757's.
