YES!! Some airlines are a pain to handle.
When I first started working at the airport I worked at Gatwick for Gatwick Handling, later to become Aviance.
And yes I have fond memories of Garuda,Air Transat,(Excalibur!) IF
any one remembers them! Air OPS or oops as we called them!
For the most part they were always delayed and never really looked after passengers when there was a problem.
And when the chips were down we as the Handling agent had to deal with 400+ annoyed punters about the delay.
In the latter years we also Had the Caledonian contract who on average during the Summer had average delays of 5 hours plus!
And yes if my shift finished at 2300 and the last flight was delayed!! Guess who had to stay!!
Iam pleased to say I work for Cathay Pacific at Heathrow and although we have our problems.. Its nice to work for an airline and not an Agent!
