Reno is a tough market, its all about low fare low yeild traffic but there is not enough volume to make it an interesting destination like Las Vegas. RenoAir used Reno as its hub (obviously) for north-south west coast services with very moderate success, and RenoAir itself jumped at the opportunity to take over AA
's services at SanJose when AA
downsized at SanJose the first time around - operations at SanJose were more profitable than those at hometown Reno.
Reno gets a decent amount of flights to connect to most major hubs and Alaska/Horizon provides west coast connections - I dont see much else happening there for the time being since Southwest is a player in the market, which keeps fares down.
