Live From The Maple Leaf Lounge @ YYZ

Mon May 10, 2004 5:45 am

Hey Folks -

Just hanging out here before my flight to LHR this evening. The lounge is pretty nice, although it could use some colour...was wondering if anyone could tell me the reg/fin# for AC 856 - my first flight on an A333. The whole trip is in my signature - plan to do a trip report on my return & would appreciate any info.

Also, any tips on spotting at LHR and AMS as a passenger? (i.e. no car, in the terminals just on foot with a few hours to kill...?)

cheers  Big thumbs up

Hi Lucky727,

Take the 140 bus out of LHR Central Bus Station. You'll go under the runways in the tunnel, and then emerge onto the New Bath Road, ask the driver to stop at the Heathrow Visitor Centre. That's right on the perimeter of the airport. Just walk around to the left and you'll be at the threshold in minutes. A great spot to be  Smile

I'm jealous! Have a nice flight, and write up a trip report!

The lounge is quite nice but sadly the views are not great.

Cheers,

"I'm jealous! Have a nice flight, and write up a trip report!"

Others could have been jealous of you, too! No one envies you now, though... Although, there might be some who wish they'd done years ago what you're now doing.

It looks like your A330 was C-GHLM, according to ACARS reports.

Here's a link to more photos of the new Maple Leaf Lounge at New Terminal One.
