MIAMI'S (flawed ATC?)picture

air traffic controllers say there are colums that block some views on incoming aircraft,they want the new tower to be torn down the F.A.A says no.Don't they look into things like this before a tower is built?

how far are they in building the new one?and how tall is the new atc?

the tower has been topped off and it will be 346ft tall
