In Singapore, have there been any aviation-related canings?

In SIngapore, you get caned for:
Some counts of molest
Armed Robbery
Serious Vandalism (i.e. using spray paint)

if you are a healthy male between the age of 18 and 55. The maximum number of strokes you get is 24, and this is a law implemented by the British colonial government that just has never been gotten rid of even after independance - God save the Queen.

I guess if you attempted any of the above on SIA aircraft you would get caned. Though this Jap passenger who recently molested two SQ girls got off with a S$4500 (USD2800) fine.

Can't see how you would get away with Rape or Armed Robbery on an aircraft.

If Singapore Air continues dissing other airlines up north The Singapore High Commission in London shall dispatch men to give him a good spanking! =)

An ex Singapore Airlines Captain is due to be caned soon for supposedly touching one of the Stewardesses. The caning is not what some may imagine from school days. It will leave permanent foot long scars at the base of your back where there is little flesh and usually only 1 or 2 strokes are given at a time or until you black out. You are then allowed to recover and in a few weeks the next few will follow and so it goes on.

A recent case of an Indian National convicted of molesting a female passenger has also been caned. There are quite a few other cases if you search the Straits Times archives.
Etihad Girl, You're a great way to fly.
