Spotting At AUS Tx

Sat May 15, 2004 6:23 am

In spite of intimidating airport police it is perfectly legal to drive to the end of General Aviation Dr. to watch the aircraft. My dog and I have been run off several times and each time I have contacted the sergeant in charge and have been told I had every right to be there. The location is situated between the runways and is far superior to the "designated viewing area". Much closer to the planes.....very close. Keep your dog on a leash!
