Row 18 On Today's BA0218

Sun May 16, 2004 2:39 am

I realize this is a ridiculous question but I'm very curious.

My parents are seated in 18A and B on todays BA0218 nonstop 777-200ER DEN-LHR.

Their itinerary lists the class of service as World Traveller, and they didn't know enough about BA (or call me to ask) to book in Traveller Plus. But the BA seatmaps for the 777 show the World Traveller section on the 772 starting approx row 26 and the WTP cabin starting approx row 21.

I realize that row 18 is within the margin of error for being in WTP, but I can't imagine it being in only WT.

Can anyone clarify?

I thought that was only a 2-class flight, but I could well be wrong. On the way back I got turned left at the entrance door! Wahey! Except the business class on that flight was NOT the lie-flat beds that BA had been advertising (should have read the small print: "on selected flights").

If it helps any, the timetable entry for the flight says the following:

BA 218  (Non smoking)

Operated by

British Airways

Departing from

Denver
15MAY2004 at 20:40

Arriving at

Heathrow (London)
16MAY2004 at 12:45
Terminal 4

Stops

None

Total journey time

09 hours 05 minutes

Aircraft type

772

Class of service

Club
Traveller Plus
Club
Traveller

I count that as 3 classes, but its awfully vague.

I am confused. If the flight has Traveller Plus then it will also have First and Club World. I am not aware that BA does a 2 Class on Transatlantic flights? I thought all are in 3 class mode (even in the 767)

I think some seating charts can be so confusing sometimes.

Ba have 3 different 777 configs to my knowledge

The 4 class - WT, WT+, NCW & First

The 3 Class - WT, WT+, NCW

The 2 Class - WT, OCW

The 2 class usually do the Holiday routes such as Tampa, Orlando, Carribean. These are rgadually being refitted with 3 class. In the meantime, The 3 class planes are STILL being sold as 2 class on routes such as Antigua etc
