LON-DUB Info Needed!

Sun May 16, 2004 6:54 am

Hello friends!

I need some info on the LON-DUB routes. First, I'm coming into LHR from MIA on june, and then I plan on connecting to DUB. Well, from LHR I have BMI for a total of 38GBP. I come in at 7AM and would leave around 7PM I think. I can also take Ryanair from LGW at a lower fare of 17GBP. My question here is if I stay inside the terminals at LHR will I be able to find decent places to spot, to make worth the extra 20GBP? And how easy/hard is it to go from LHR to LGW?

Another question I have is that I plan on going for a weekend to London to party with a friend by the end of July. Now I saw some fares on FR that go for 100GBP to LON except for LHR. How far are all the other airports from downtown? Is there any way to come into LCY from DUB?

Thanks for any info/advice.

12 hours is a long time to spend at LHR, even for a dedicated spotter! From the airside area in terminal 1 used for flights to Ireland you'll get a great view of 27R so you should be OK for some decent spotting. As for airports around London LCY is the closest at just a few miles, LGW is 35 miles south, LTN is about 30 miles north and STN is far, far away! Air France have flights from DUB to LCY (operated I think by CityJet) but don't expect to find any cheap fares.

Oh, I forgot the other question - LHR to LGW is very easy indeed. There is a coach service several times an hour which costs about £15 and takes between 60 and 75 minutes depending on the time of day.
