Fboweb - Anyone Use It

Tue May 18, 2004 12:57 am

Hi all, just found this site today, looks to be a very useful tool for flight tracking etc and just wondered if there is anyone who uses it with any comments.

Yes, I use it and love it. Here's a post i made a while back about FBOweb in a different forum thread: far THE best tracker Ive come across. It is a subscription though ($15/mo for the plan I use).

Some of the sweet options available, at least with the plan I use, are the following:

-Create/edit, manage, track a fleet of aircraft you're interested in.
Just type in either a tail number, or a flight id (ex. SWA1234).
For example, I set up one of these ''fleet lists'' to list the aircraft I'm
interested that are based here at my home airport (Scottsdale), or the
aircraft of interest that come in quite often...Or just planes IM curious
You can then view their location on a map of the U.S.

-"Quick track'' an aircraft by tail number or flight ID
Shows you the current info on this aircraft/flight, updated once per minute.

-''Area Track''...just type in and airport ID, city, area code, and you can view
what flights are active within a certain raidius of that location.

-''Airport summary'' (My favorite).
You guessed it - just type in an airport ID and you're provided with four
different categories : Planned arrivals, Planned departures, Arriving flights,
Departed flights... What's coming in, whats leaving, yadda yadda yadda.
Active flights can be viewed on a moving map, if you will, showing its
position, flight path and lots of other information.

-"flight history.''
Type in a tail number/flight ID and you can check up on past flights. Be
more specific by typing in an airport and you can view when that aircraft
has been to a certain place.

-"Flight alerts."
If you're interested in a particular aircraft, type it in, save it, and you can
receive an email when a flight is planned, departs, or arrives somewhere.

Other things offered on this site are N-number lookups, airport information, weather, etc. They are also updating the site every now and then with newer options...some of which I cant wait for.

Hope this helps.
