The 763's only have 2 class.

J in the 763 is better than that in the 777, as you get a slightly bigger pitch and slightly greater recline.

In the 763 you get given a portable DVD player with a catalog of DVDs. You dont get this on the 777.

I've used my miles for an upgrade this summer to J, EGCC - KORD.

Are you planning on using miles or paying for it? I wouldnt pay for it, but then again I cant afford it. LOL

I'm going down to Brazil with my dad and he has elite status. He got 8 complimentary upgrades with his executive platinum membership so we are planning on using it.

I have flown on the 763 in business (marketed as First) to HNL several times and it is great. The pitch is 60". The seat reclined almost flat, enough to get a some sleep.

Avoid the bulkhead row as the pitch is somewhat less than other rows. I prefer the center seats (D or G). A seat map can be found at: http://www.aa.com/content/aboutAA/ourPlanes/boeing7632classnew.jhtml

Have a good trip!

Also, check-out www.seatguru.com for more info on the 763 seating arrangement.

You made the right call picking the 763 over the 777. The in-flight service is nicer on the 763 as AA has tried to position it more as a hybrid F/J service. Service highlights include meals that are not pre-plated (and served on AA's First Class Flagship china), a separate appetizer (which includes lobster tails) and ice cream sundaes for dessert.

Not trying to annoy anyone, but isn't these services STANDARD in J Class anyway :

OH Sorry I for some airlines usually offer substandard services!
