Ask NWA employees to look up in the computer -- but -- would it be nice for us to find out aircraft # on airline internets? I do not think they will ever do to that since aircraft change happen too often.

If you don't get a glimse of the N number or the airline aircraft number usually around nose gear or nose gear doors, ask the gate agent the ship(aircraft or airplane) number. Then cross-reference that with a JP book or aircraft production book.
If you don't have access to a reference book, ask someone on line. Many of us do and will be glad to help.

Hopefully you are already on your plane to OMA, and probably already know the ship numbers. If not, then, well, here they are:

#156 SEA-MSP: Ship 5519, N519US, Boeing 757-251, S/N 23207
#790 MSP-OMA: Ship 9997, not sure about the rest.

Actually,
I was not flying on either of those flights today. There was a family emergency in Omaha, so I booked my 3 Aunts, my cousin, and my uncle on those flights.

Thanks for finding this stuff out for me.

B747-437B,

Every operations office I have ever been in, both Air Force and Airline refers to the "ship number" as the identification for the aircraft. The heading on the top of the column is "ship number"

"ships and pigs fly"
