I once flew on ProAir from DET to MDW with a stop at IND. I believe we stopped at a gate for America West before proceeding on to MDW. I realize that doesn't give you a gate number.

I believe it was concourse 'C' - the first gate on the right. ProAir was handled by UA both above and below wing. They served IND from their start in '97 to their shutdown.

In their first year, IND was one of two RON stations, where 'A' checks were handled by UA. It was also the FA and Pilot crew base.

Hey 7E72004, it's so great to have an active member from IND on here! I'm from MCO but visit quite often and love that airport! Before American West went to A4, they were at B3. I remember them boarding for a flight to PHX once in 2001 while I boarded for my flight to MCO at Gate B4 on Delta Express.

See ya later!

Remembering a little more when we backed away from the gate what was the former center runway was directly behind us. This should give you a rough idea where we were on the ramp area.

That could describe B3. It could also describe any of the northwest gates though.  Smile Maybe even a couple C Gates

A little off the subject, I flew one r/t on Proair. DET-LGA-DET, and forgive me for saying this, it was one of the worst flights I have ever been on. F/C was a joke. Although the A/C where new, the crews were the most unprofessional people I had ever run into. The ground staff was a mess, there was a last min. a/c swap, and they just started yelling at everyone to move to a different gate. It was just plane bad (pun intended).

You will love the airport even more when the midfield terminal is done. The only thing i hate about the current one is if you land toward the west, it takes a hell of a lot of time to taxi to the terminal building. I even think that part of the runways are in Hendricks county.

Yeah, Landing on 23L or 23R is not too much fun making ur way back to the terminal. I can't wait for them to open the new midfield.  Big thumbs up Of couse, thats some time away!

when I worked the Pro Air flights, they were the easiest to load, 20 pax tops and about 15 bags. then it was off to mdw.
