CLT is a much larger international gateway for US than PIT

Also, UA/NW have a very significant international gateway hub at NRT

Northwest uses Tokyo's Narita International as a hub for it's intra-Asian flights.

Northwest also has a large hub at Amsterdam mostly because of KLM and the code share thing they have going on.

anyway, why does DL have a hub at F R A?! afaik, there are no non-us flights to/from there so I'd rather regard it as a usual destination.

Tokyo NRT links UA flights from the USA to Asia, so it works out as a Hub.

With the amount of UA and AA planes I see at LHR it's hard to believe it isn't a hub!
