Too many Scandinavians fly to SFO/LAX for flights to the Pacific and South America and the US of course
Those are not viable connections. SFO
has no service to South America, and LAX
has only eleven weekly flights (7 to Lima and 4 to Sao Paulo) to the region. The only US connections are to a limited cache area on the west coast. Most Pacific connections (as in mainland) are done going the other direction, while traffic between Scandanavia and Pacific Islands would probably fill a good 10 seats or less on a CPH
flight. The main advantages are the SFO
to Europe connections the flight would provide, as well as some of the smaller West coast communities. I do think SAS would do well on a CPH
, though I've heard they don't plan on a new North American destination until 2006 at the earliest, and that when they launch it, it will be in the Eastern half of the continent.
