That's likely the freakiest salvage job I've even seen.

That was an A310?  Wow! At first sight, I thought they were dismantling a Lockheed Constellation! Wow, that is one weird breakup. I do hate seeing A310s scrapped anyway, I like them. What was the reason for it?

Don't get excited. This is the General Motors corporate jet. You know how they love convertibles.

well look how nice, its the first time an MEA picture has gotten on the top of the day list.

I saw it....looked like a bristol britannia to me at first.

then i clicked on it....and you can imagine how surprised I was.

What will break my heart is when I see an MEA 707 or 720 looking like that.

Who cares about an A310.

1 of the 3 A310-200s went to some Jordanian charter airline. The other two were scrapped, this being one of them.

They indeed were work horses for MEA, but not nearly as much as the 707 and 720s. Thankfully those old classics are scattered around Beirut Airport for us aviation fans to enjoy.  Smile

Regards

That is so true BA. The A310s were not even owned by ME even though this particular one ended its life with the airline.

Still, it's my favorite type of plane, that's why it's sad for me.
