Monarch A300/A330 Question.

Can anyone tell me how many A300s do MON have based at LGW, MAN and DUB?
Also am I right in thinking that both the 330s are LGW based or is one LGW and one MAN based?
And finally, do the MON flights from NCL-SFB have to go with a weight restriction or are they able to do that flight fully loaded?

I think 2 A300's are based at LGW which must mean 1 at MAN and 1 at DUB (If one is based at DUB). I think one of the A330's is LGW based and the other kinda goes up and down between the two, but i cannot confirm that.

An A300 is based at LTN during the summer season Thursday-Sunday operating charters to Europe.

This is similar to last summer.

Gkirk, I read that one A330 is based at LGW and the other at MAN.

Their A330s are very common in Luxor and Sharm El Sheikh. In fact todays LXR-LGW flight is operated by one of their A330s.

It's quite amazing how Monarch manage to fit in all these flights with their A330's and A300's. The A330's, of which they only own 2, are used to operate some European and African routes (Banjul, Luxor and Sharm el Sheikh) as well as Caribbean and Sanford routes. Not only that but i can't imagine that LGW-MLE direct could be operated by anything but an A330 (from their fleet). The A330's are almost always in service, you would very rarely see a MON A330 parked up on a remote stand unused (unless its nightstopping etc). This is another reason why it is the only aircraft type in the fleet that hasn't got the new colours yet.

I'm not completely sure, but i imagine that the A300's would operate a lot of the Gatwick/Manchester to Male/Goa via Bahrain flights, as well as the Amritsar-Bahrain-East Midlands-Gatwick flights. They can also be seen operating a lot of high density short/medium haul routes.

A330's
One is LGW based
One moves around between LGW, MAN , Glasgow and Newcastle

A300's
One is at LGW
One is at LGW and LTN
One is at MAN and DUB

In the summer the Male and Goa routes are on A300's in winter A330's
The Monarch website sais that the Amritsar route from NEMA and LGW is operated by a 752

The Newcastle route is not restricted as it is on an A330 . ( i think )

Luxor AB6
Sanford 332
Heraklion AB6
Varadero 332
Tenerife AB6
Varadero AB6
Malaga 332
Holguin 332
Faro 332
Lanzarote 332

Can anyone fill me in on the exact routes from Gatwick and Luton

I'm pretty sure the 4th one is based at Gatwick. I know we get at least 1 in new colours and one in old colours down here, and i do often see another 1.

It appears the A300's also do a lot of the Football charter flights, which is understandable. A medium/high capacity that isn't flying a tight schedule.

Ben,

Didn't you find out that it was an A321, a while back? I'm sure the A321 is a posibility because there are at least 2 or 3 A321's based at Gatwick.

Which A330 is based at MAN? Flying as detailed in my signature this summer, can I expect G-SMAN or G-EOMA?

there wont be set registrations assigned to set bases, L1011aaron had it about right but its 1 LGW 1 LGW/LTN 1 MAN 1 MAN/DUB
A330's are LGW and MAN

LGW/ I flew LGW-PFO with Monarch last year and it was A300-600. 4 hours late going out and 4and a half hours late coming back. The aircraft used was a MAN based one, the reason for the delays was the late incoming of the aircraft to MAN before ferrying down to LGW. If memory serves me well it was a Wednesday, which is big British day in PFO.
