Jersey Loses Its London City Services

Wed Jun 02, 2004 2:20 am

I was under the impression that VLM and FlyBE operated the LCY-JER route.

However, after checking both airlines websites it appears that VLM no longer service the route and FlyBE will be dropping the route in mid-June (presumably due to the smaller Dash8's being in the process of being phased out of the fleet).

Bad news for Jersey, an important link to the capital lost (though LGW and STN are still served).

Capital146, you may want to take a look at the London City Airport - Jersey Questionnaire at http://www.londoncityairport.com/.
So it looks that at least LCY Airport still believes that there may be some potential for this route.

Just looked at the latest CAA Official Series Record 2 publication and VLM are listed as applying for a scheduled service license for LCY-JER effective 19th June!
