DL Electronic Timetable

Wed Jun 02, 2004 3:38 am

I have a question for those of you who work for DL. When is the electronic timetable (desktop version) updated. I heard somewhere that it's accurate for several months or something to that extent. Is there a specific date when its updated?

Thanks

It's only good for the dates on the timetable its self. Look at the cover of the timetable and the dates will be there.

Good Question Delta07,

I'd like to know too, as it appears as though DL is adding a bit more capacity for the summer and I'd love to know where. It seems like we're getting a few 767 flights back to SLC that they took away in January. Does anyone know if this is just for the summer?

If I'm not mistaken, Delta's e-timetables are good until about the third week of the month after the update. For example, I downloaded the April 2004 update; the flight information is good until approximately 22 May 2004.

Delta recommends you update the database at the beginning of each month to have the latest information.

I just had installed the 22 May 2004 update early last week. Yesterday I updated it and it was the 29 May 2004 update, so I would do it every couple of weeks because things do change.  Big thumbs up

DL's electronic timetable has not been entirely accurate for me. The timings are, but the equipment has differred, and no, it was not last minute. It was when I went to book it, 4 weeks ahead. Once it said i was on a 757. Imagine my joy when I discovered I was going to be on the 764.

cheers

WindowSeat is right. The e-timetables are not consistent with the .pdf (or printed) timetables. And the PDA version is even worse.

The biggest error I see is a/c type in the timetables (though it may have changed - instead of being an error) and occasionally the frequencies for non-dailies are incorrect.

For instance, I saw a B762 in CVG departing today in the 09:00 departure window, and can't figure out where it was going. On my entire flight, I'm trying to see where they have the 762 going (barring equipment substitution).

Overall, the timetables are pretty good, average among US airlines - easier to use than NW/CO timetable.B4REAL

Regarding the post above, I found the flight it was DL 724 I believe. CVG-LAS from gate B7 (I taxied over the 'odd' side). The timetables were correct this time!
