Know Of Any Airlines Planning New Opps To MEX?

Wed Jun 02, 2004 9:21 am

Not long ago, there was a rumor of China Airlines interested on flying to MEx. Also, it has been discussed that Alitalia wants to fly to MEx, but has a lack of airplanes.

Do you know of any airlines looking at MEx as a new destination on the short while?

AR plans to resume services to MEX and CUN by October, although they haven't said what aircraft they plan to use. Probably the A313 or A342.

How do you say "12 months" in Estonian?

Southern Winds with MD-11

BA yesterday started increase frequencies from 3 to 5.

On October 1st, 2004. expect JAL upgrading to B747-400.

By 2006 LH will be flying 14 frequencies to MEx.

AR plans to resume services to MEx and CUN by October, although they haven't said what aircraft they plan to use. Probably the A313 or A342.

At least It will be imposible for AR to start flights to MEx, Southern Winds got the rights to fly this route since early months of 2003.

LP started LIM-MEx flights a few weeks ago.

AF will also increase frequencies in 2005 and will use 773ER's instead of 744's, right Ghost?

AM is also starting SAP-MEx.

If AC and MX do not extend their codeshare, expect AC to increase flights and frequencies to MEx.

Finally, someone said in a separate thread that US is considering BWI-MEx. Take it with a grain of salt, though, and please don't shoot the messenger.
Next flights: MEX-LAX AM 738, LAX-PVG DL 77L, SHA-PEK CA 789, PEK-PVG CA A332, PVG-ORD MU 77W, ORD-MEX AM 738

I also read this info in an 'AF's B773ERs thread', someone spread this rumour, but I really don't know anything, more over haven't heard anything from my friend in AM. If AF adds or reduce frequencies on the route (MEX-CDG) AM is affected by their movements, therefore Im sure my friend in AM should know something, I asked him and he answear back telling me that he didn't knew anything on this issue! But, as soon as I know something else I'll let you know!
