CO 777 CDG/EWR 5/30-loud Noise On Take Off

Wed Jun 02, 2004 10:53 am

was sitting in forward 1st class cabin and about 2 minutes into flight there was a loud bang and flash of light from the forward galley behind the cockpit. the f/a in the right jump seat looked very concerned and was asking the other f/a across the galley on the left side what was that. Pax were all looking around and my heart was pounding! I'm used to the usual noises but never had that happen before. flight continued w/o problem and no mention was made. I was too embarassed to ask what "that" was.

my question is if anyone has any idea what it might have been. I thought a blown fuse or light bulb since the cockpit crew never got involved and once the f/a's got up they went about their usual great duties--- but any insight from professionals would be helpful.

thanks!

Did the F/A get up after the bang happened to check and make sure there was no fire or something of that sort?
