Ted At MSP

Wed Jun 02, 2004 11:51 pm

This morning when I flew in from DLH, I saw a Ted plane sitting at C13. Anybody know, 1. Why was it there? 2. If it was a UA swap, then what was it doing way down in NW-land?

This was the plane, but I guess there are no pics on A.net of it in Ted colors yet.

Probably painted but not converted inside yet. Painting is done by a vender and interiors are done by UA

UATristar's reasoning for the TED colors is probably correct, but as to why it was sitting at C13, UA, DL, and AA often park their extra aircraft down towards the end of the C concourse if all of their gates are full (HP does this as well - sometimes using an extra gate besides C10). If you came in around 8am or 9am from DLH, then this is probably your answer.

Of course, if it was after that, I'm as stumped as you are  Big grin.

Darn I should've caught it. I heard it was at MSP a few months ago. I saw it in person at DEN, I think it looks great!

I saw it leaving this morning on the 30L departure. Maybe a sign of future supplemental service to ORD  Wink/being sarcastic.

Ted was in SEA too.....a month ago. So the TED in MSP is probably the same thing: a/c swap. Im expecting that there will be more TED planes going into cities that TED doesnt serve mainly because of a/c swaps. This is common in this industry.

NDub, yeah, I arrived at 7.30 from DLH, and saw a peachy tail as we rolled out. My wife didn't quite share the same excitement I had as I walked down towards C13...hehe  Smile

Ted was in SEA yesterday (Wed) too.

Unfortunatly I couldn't get over to take a better picture than this shot through the heat from a DC10 APU ....  Laugh out loud
