Just out of curiosity . . .
We were talking about a new terminal at LGA
this week and the point was brought up that with or without an expanded terminal, LGA
is at capacity in terms of the number of takeoffs and landings. The only expansion possible would be through larger aircraft.
Now on to LHR
. . . I was also under the impression that LHR
is pretty much at capacity all day long in terms of takeoffs and landings. And since most aircraft are widebodies, how does the U.K. plan to actually make room for expansion without new runways? The new terminal plans look phenomenal, but is it really enough?
