Can I Use Executive Club Lounges For A Fee?

Fri Jun 04, 2004 10:52 am

I have a 7 hour layover in LHR tomorrow, and I don't feel like leaving the airport.
Would I be able to use the lounges for a fee? If not, any suggestions?

Thank you

From what I have been told, sometimes. DL, for instance, charges 50 USD for one day.....I am not too sure about any others. The best thing to do is check online....do a search on the site. You can also call the airlines FF program and ask that way, or just pop your head-in when you get there. After all, what's the worst they can say "No?"

Have a great trip and good luck.

Safe flying,

Mike

I just looked on BA.com and this is what came up:

Can I pay to get into your Lounges?
No, BA does not operate a paid lounge access scheme.

Looks like BA is out of the question....But remember that there are many others!

Well Delta cannot operate at LHR so $50 won't get you much with them. Do you have any status on any airline? Are you flying F or C class? Maybe you can coax your way into your airline lounge with a First or Biz class ticket.

Long waits at AB) (FRA / FRF / EDDF), Germany">FRA I always find my self getting a room at the Sheraton accross the bridge to lay around, watch TV and shower for awhile.

I think the best advice you are going to get is what BA747400 said, pop in and ask, certainly cannot hurt!

I know that VS does not accept paid lounge access to their clubhouse.

You can actually book a Servisair Executive Lounge for a nominal fee at LHR via the BAA website http://www.baa.co.uk. Not sure whether you can book it for such short notice though, maybe you can pay at the door.

As an ex Ba employee, the only way to get into the Lounge is to have the appropiately tiered card unfotunately!

Blue card holders (like myself!) unfortuantely have no lounge access rights.

(Unless you buy the appropiate class ticket, club/first or fully flexible business fare)

The Servisair lounge is very good at LGW though.

I believe you can pay to use the KLM lounge in T4.

Paying for a lounge?
So what sense does a lounge make then? First and Business class passengers, paying lots of money for their tickets, have to share the lounges with Garbage class passengers who buy a supplement for using a lounge?
No, thanks!

My, what hubris! Sounds like one possibly wouldn't want to share a Lounge with the likes of "First and Business class passengers", anyway.
Great Lakes, great life.

Garbage class passengers? Just remember, Stefandote, your shit stinks just like everyone else's. And we all turn to dust, so don't get too high on yourself!
