### RE: Calculating Casm

CASM = total cost / Sum_of_all_flights(seats * miles)

### RE: Calculating Casm

so I take the total cost of all flights flown, divide by the amount of flights carried out then multiply the total amount of seats these flights offered by the total miles flown?

I think i got it. did i do anything wrong?

I don't know if you noticed that I edited what I wrote. In essence, you got it. But to be absolutely sure that I didn't mislead you, the denominator should be the sum of seat-miles for each flight. And seat-miles for each flight is number of seats of the aircraft times the number of miles flown for the particular flight.
