PHL Listed On IB's Site?

Sat Jun 05, 2004 5:20 am

Hello,

I was cruising Iberia's site http://www.iberia.com looking for the MIA arrivals/ departs and I stumbled across PHL being on their destinations and Departures list. My guess is that these PHL flights are codeshare. I could have sworn IB was in the Star Alliance, if that is true it's safe to say US is running these flights. Boy, I would love to see some IB 742's in PHL. I'll be seeing some in MIA this summer, Thank god Big grin

Thanks,
Ed

Ed:

IB is not in the Star Alliance it is in Oneworld. PHL is a code-share city with AA. Code-share flight PHL-ORD with AA then ORD-MAD with IB.

Thanks Iberia340600, that was quick. I figured it was codeshare, I still did get a little excited thinking they were going to start MAD - PHL service, o well.

However, Spanair, a Star member and US codeshare partner, puts its code on the US PHL-MAD, MAD-PHL flights (among others in the US). There is also a UA code on this flight.
