MX A320s, Why More IAE Engines Than CFM?

Tue Jun 08, 2004 8:42 am

How many of their A320/319s have CFMs and why? I've only seen two with CFMs in my life time, one of which I took a picture recently.

In sound and appearance, I prefer IAE.  Big thumbs up

EDIT: Wait a sec, I only found pics of A319s that had CFMs, but I'm sure I saw an A320 with CFMs instead of IAE the last time I went to MEX, and that was before MX had bought any A319s.

All the MXA320´s are equipped with IAE V2500-A1 engines
The A319´s are equipped with CFM56 engines
The 318´s I think will be equipped with CFM56.  Confused
I also prefer the IAE´s, you gotta love the "Booster" of those engines  Big thumbs up
even more when you have a fully loaded flight.
Life is what happens when you have other plans.....
