Buddy/student Pass On DAL

Tue Jun 08, 2004 10:51 am

My friend whose uncle works for Delta was telling me he was gonna fly on a buddy pass or a student pass for a reduced rate. What is this buddy/student pass and how do they work?

as always, when traveling on buddy/student pass, you will be placed on standby list. you pay taxes on buddy passes. airline agents issue tickets in exchange of passes. rate varies.

Not only do you pay tax on a DL buddy pass, you pay a fee based upon the point to point mileage of the two cities.

I did a buddy pass with a friend not long ago from PHX-MEX and it costs me over $200, not even worth the money to fly standby on Delta in my opinion.................
