What is the deal of having Leather seats on one side, and fabric on the other. The leather seats are just as wide and only go back 8 rows and then they are all fabric. They can't be First Class seats, so what gives? Not all of the Jetsgo seats are like that.

The leather seats are COMFORT PLUS, which is JetsGo's pseudo-premium product. Personally, I think the exit row is more comfortable and has more legroom anyway.

The interiors are weird and ugly without a question. And the flight attendants' uniforms are even uglier! Bad...bad..Corporate identity representation! YUK!!!

I like JetsGo great fares, though, even though they're never on-time!

Wow, that's a really strange design. I've never seen a "class" on a single side of an aircraft only.

I always thought one of the top advantages of upgrading is to get off the plane first... Can't see that working like this.

Milemaster, the upgrade is only $25, and you get 36% more legroom for that price. The service is exactly the same (non-existent), where you buy whatever you'd like to consume on board. Jetsgo is pretty much as no-frills as they get, but it's nice to be able to pay a little extra and getting a more comfortable seat, especially on a longer, trans-continental flight.

I have a question, has the catering changed at all on Jetsgo? I thought the options for purchase were rather limited when I flew them in 2002.

No, but the prices have gone up.

That's a good thing for the industry as a whole, no?

Well, I highly doubt there is significant impact on the industry now that my can of coke costs $2 rather than the $1 it did a few months ago. Big grin

I guess the increased catering prices ($2 for a friggen can of Coke???) are subsidizing the low low prices that Jetsgo offers. And that is probably not the best for the industry. But it's good for Leblanc!  Big grin

You mean the comfort-plus passengers have to sit BESIDE the riff-raff? how barbaric.

I guess the increased catering prices ($2 for a friggen can of Coke???)

Yup. $1 fares with $2 coke. total cost to fly on jetsgo anywhere with a refreshing drink: $3.

Plus tax.

So the breakdown of the costs would be as follows:

- 0.7% of the cost is for the airfare
- 1.6% of the cost is for the Coke
- 97.7% of the cost covers the taxes.

What a deal!

You laugh at that, but this is my ACTUAL costs for a $1 trip YYZ-YUL-YYZ

Fare : $2.00
Coke : $2.00
Sandwich : $4.00
Beer : $4.00
Fuel Surcharge : $30.00
NAVCAN : $24.00
Insurance : $6.00
Security : $13.08
Toronto AIF : $12.00
Montreal AIF : $15.00
GST/HST : $9.53
QST : $1.20

TOTAL : $122.81

Thus :

1.6% for the airfare
8.1% for refreshments
90.3% for taxes

To be fair Sean, I would add the $30 fuel surcharge as part of the fare. In fact, I think it is shady on the part of Jetsgo (and others) to have that separate from advertised $1 fares, or other special prices.

That interior makes me puke. I mean, Like why would I pay $25.00 just to move 3 inches to the other side?

BTW -- You will also notice in this picture, that this interior does not have the leather seats.

BR715, that picture above is old, and representative of when Jetsgo first started operations. They just recently reconfigured the MD-83's with the new upulstery, and the Comfort Plus leather seats. $25 extra for considerable more legroom, especially on a longer flight, is well worth it in my opinion.

Let's look at it in another way. If the standard configuration is 31" of legroom, which I believe is accurate, and you add the 36% extra legroom, you get a total of 42" of legroom. If these figures are accurate, then $25 is a small price to pay for that extra amount of comfort, in my opinion.

Just one short question: Is the COMFORT PLUS thing also available on the FOKKERS???

Does anyone have pictures of the cabin crew uniform of jetsgo?

I agree. The interiors of the Jetsgo aircraft I've flown look terrible, and the F/A uniforms look even more ridiculous.

Yes, I have to agree that the interiors look quite appalling. The leather seats may look better if they filled an entire section, but adjacent to those 'standard' seats they appear just as ugly. What AirTran have done to the exterior, JetsGo have done to the interior. Simply disgusting degree of colour contrast.

I have not seen their uniforms, but judging by the the messages and what the interior looks like I doubt it will be any more promising in the aesthetics stakes.

Regarding the cheap $1 fares etc. I think it should be illegal not to state taxes as inclusive. I do not care if the money does not go to the airline, it is still what is being charged so it may well seem deceptive to many a passenger. I think the ASA are trying to resolve this issue in the UK with the likes of both LCC and full service carriers.

Hot Quebec blondes in leather jackets is HIGHLY aesthetic in my book.

I suppose even the AirTran livery and those horrid JetsGo seat combination will look aesthetically pleasing in the scenario you are proposing.  Wow!

lol Propulsion, he's not kidding. By the way, welcome to airliners.net!

Personally, although the leather seats should probably be a darker blue, I don't find the interior that bad looking, and I also think the f/a uniform for the females is attractive. No, it's not a classy looking uniform, but it is exactly what it should be ... fun and youthful looking.

Fits the airline image too. Cheap and loose.  Big grin

LOL Sean, even I can agree with that. I have no idea why anyone could complain...

About the interior...yeah it looks kind of mickey mouse and with the rainbow colour headrest covers they've got a Gay Pride thing going on. Maybe a sponsorship opportunity?  Smile/happy/getting dizzy
