Air Canada Regional

Mon Jun 14, 2004 5:29 am

I was wondering how much of AC's regional operations had been cut, especially the trans-border flights. We used to get a B1900D in GRR from YYZ, but it was cut when AC started having problems. Also, what is their future looking like? I doubt GRR will see them in the future, but will anyone else?

Air Canada Regional is Air Canada Jazz. Generally the B1900D operations were done, and are done by separate tier three operators such as Central Mountain Air in BC and Alberta.

Also Air Alliance known as Air Georgian operates B1900 on the east coast between YHZ and YYG, YSJ, YQM, YFC and maybe there are other routes which I am not aware of.

Hope it helps

Air Georgian has a base in YHZ, but they are predominately based out of YYZ, flying many regional routes for Air Canada as a tier three operator, as was mentioned above.

Where did Air Georgian used to fly? What cut backs have taken place?
