EX-TWA Employees

Tue Jun 15, 2004 6:56 am

Hello All,
Can anyone tell me if there are any ex-TWA employees that are still working for AA? It was my understanding that most if not all were released. I hope not. Thanks!

Many ex-TWA people are still with AA in non-union and management positions.

Because seniority integration was handled differently between the work groups,

there are quite a few ex-TWA pilots still at AA.
all of the ex-TWA F/A's are on furlough (unfortunately)
I believe a lot of fleet service/maintenance people are still here, particularly in stations with a large TWA presence (STL, MCI, etc.)

The F/A's have recall rights for 5 years.
The views expressed are my own, and not necessarily those of my employer.

The current STL base is made up of AA F/As that were transfered there when the TWA F/As were furloughed.

Only 1/3 of the pilots on the seniority list at the time of the merger are left.

I've run into several flight attendants who are with commuters. I also had the pleasure of working with a former TWA FA on my first corporate flight.

Funny, there is so much animosity among AA employees toward the TWA people...I don't understand it.TC
