And The Next Jet2 Destination Will Be.......

Wed Jun 16, 2004 3:19 am

.....Paris CDG.

Flights will operate daily from LBA to T3 at CDG commencing 1st September. Fares start at £24 one-way incl taxes.

LS315 LBA-CDG dep 1100 arr 1340
LS316 CDG-LBA dep 1420 arr 1500

The only thing which puzzles me is that they are only offerring one flight each day, would have thought a morning and evening flight would have made more sense, but any new service is always welcome.

To add to this news, Jet2 have also just announced their winter timetable with seats now on sale. Further increases in services are:

BFS-PRG increases on 1st Sept to daily service (currently 4 x weekly).
LBA-GVA re-commences 18 Dec with 8 flights each week (was 4 x weekly last winter).
LBA-AMS additional flight on Saturday evenings from end of October (day return will then be possible on Saturday's).

In addition, NCE will continue to be served this winter on a 3 x weekly basis(was dropped for the previous winter season).

All other routes will remain to be served at the same frequency as the summer timetable, which represents a large increase in capacity from last winter. The exeption is PMI which will revert to 4 x weekly for much of the winter (was 2 x weekly all last winter).

How many 733s do they have? Is it 7? Are they planning to lease/buy anymore?

Yes, they have 7 x 733's at the moment, the most recent addition, G-CELB, is the one with the large 'Yorkshire' titles and only entered service with the airline about a month ago. I think all but one of them are ex-Ansett.

They are looking to add more 733's as they continue to increase frequencies and add additional destinations.

Capital146, (stupid question, I know) but do they have any flights out of any London airport?

Horus, the answer to that is no. They have flights from LBA, plus one from BFS-PRG.
Although I believe you will see Jet2 a/c at some London airports from time to time (Stansted mainly) operating for Channel Express

That BFS-PRG flight is alittle weird. Are they planning to make BFS a mini-hub in the future?

Not sure as it seems EZY are also starting a mini hub at BFS, with a few flights to the UK, CDG,ALC,AGP and BCN I believe, albeit, I dont think that these are daily flights.

Additional routes from BFS are more than likely as the aircraft operating BFS-PRG is based at BFS and it is the only scheduled flights it flies at present (BFS-LBA is done by an LBA-based aircraft). It does earn money at night flying mail to UK mainland though.

Regarding flights from London, there have been many stories circulating for a long time that LBA-LGW may appear, though nothing so far.
