NWA 747-200Z Vs 747-200G

I noticed on the NWA timetable about 3 different 747s.....747..742..744

On there's an international config (747-200Z) 286Y/55C and a beach config (747-200G) 400Y/15C...what is the difference between the two. (i.e. which are used on the LAX/SEA-NRT routes that are listed as 747 in the timetable.

742Gs markets for the high density (low yield) lesiure market (e.g. Hawaii) and the 742Z is used on 'normal' international flights (e.g. Japan).

The 742G are used extensively on the Japan-Pacific Islands routes. I think NWA have 6 742s based in Tokyo with this 'beach configuration'.

Beach markets would be Japan to Guam, Saipan, and Hawaii.

We also have a charter configured 747, ship 6613 which is 34/412 seating. But there is a clarrification that should be noted. According to my FA manual,
the proper numbers are 67/286 for the standard and non-standard International 747-200's and 30/400 for standard and non-standard Beach market 200's. The international aircraft are used from US-Asia and also Interport flights(within Asia). The Beach Market is Hawaii to Japan. Guam and Saipan are not classified as Beach Market, they also are Interport.
