will look at the 777-300ER very seriously now, as the 777 is a SkyTeam flagship.
Delta's reduction in services at DFW
will mesh well with a CO
base at IAH
However, I wonder how having 3 majors in the same country on one alliance will work. That business model has yet to be tested.
SkyTeam's weak link is still the South Pacific/Indian Ocean region. If they were to add Malaysian to SkyTeam, they would have Asia covered from the northeast and southwest. With KL
would finally give SkyTeam a truly global reach.
I was Delta Platinum for many years until moving to Australia. Now earning elite miles and using my Delta miles is very limited with SkyTeam. Star Alliance and OneWorld own this region -- and the flights are always full. It would be great to get SkyTeam to have a bigger presence down under!
