Where Is The AN-225?

Tue Jun 22, 2004 9:16 am

Hey guys,

I have been wondering quite a bit about the whereabouts of the AN-225. The most recent photos in the database show it taking off from PMI on April 28. The sudden drop in it's activity surprises me, as for about two months it was almost constantly operating flights.

Does anybody know whether it is undergoing checks or where it is for that matter? All information is very much appreciated!

Found myself often wondering where this unique bird is. Perhaps (just like the discussion entitled "Rare Birds at HNL"), we could keep this discussion alive and always updated on the whereabouts of the AN-225.

Can spotters who know its whereabouts or know of its upcoming sorties share these here in this discussion?

Many thanks for all inputs.

Hello all,

latest pictures show AN-225 at Prague. Maybe doing some US Army charters to and from Iraq?

Cheers,

Great question!

I've always wondered exactly the same thing... Where is the actual base of Antonov Design Bureau?

Hello Frasyd,

I believe that the home base for ADB is Kiev, Ukraine.
