Eritrean Airlines 'Busy Bee'

Wed Jun 23, 2004 2:23 pm

I read in this non-aviation news item that Eritrean Airlines has received an additional aircraft (second to the 763 they got) which has been dubbed "Busy Bee". However, the article does not mention the type and was wondering if anyone had any details about it...

Thx

ETStar,

Apparently, Eritrean have just taken delivery of an ex-QANTAS 767-200 (c/n 23309), and have re-reg'd it as E3-AAQ. It used to fly for QANTAS as VH-EAM.

Yes indeed. And this aircraft was purchased not leased.

Hi all,

It seems as though there is a lot of money floating around Eritrean these days. I must admit that they are not half bad airline. They were on time from Amsterdam and their service was equal to if not better than most US carriers!
Way to go...

Kind regards,

Where can I get additional up to date information about this and other recent purchases for any aircraft by any airline?

Air Transport Intelligence reported in May that Eritrean was getting a 767-200 as well as a 737-300 afterwards.

Do you remember the Scandinavian airline "BusyBee" ?

It operated 732s in the 80s and it had a bee as a logo !!!
