Video Conference At 35,000 Ft

Fri Jun 25, 2004 6:06 am

People have been making a big deal about email at 35, 000 ft- how about video confercing. Looks like Apple has done it again, revolutionizing the world

Looks like it was on LH #458 from Munich to San Fransisco. However, it looks like they got the airplane wrong- It's clearly a 747 and not a 777- you can even see the engines out the window... How cool is that? Besides the fact that LH doesnt fly the 777

It is really cool to see someone outside of Boeing using Connexion by Boeing in that manner!

I know that Scott Carson, CEO of Connexion by Boeing has done it several time for demo and education but this is the first documented case of an company external to Boeing and the airline that offers Connexion have a vidwo conference that I know of!

For what it's worth, there are several companies that offer high speed services for business jets. And yes, that does include video conferencing  Smile

That is way cool. Thanks for sharing! I would love to have hotspot service while on a flight.
