Remember JetTrain Airlines?

Fri Jun 25, 2004 6:45 am

The little airline flying DC-9's in the mid nineties. At one point JetTrain served PHL, PIT, BNA, BOS, MCO, EWR, MEM. I've believe they were killed off by USAir around '96.

I can't find any images of JetTrain's DC-9's.  Sad
I remember they had a locomotive on the tail (painted in gold).

I most definitly remember JetTrain Airlines. I remember seeing either a photo of one of their planes or maybe I saw one on a layover or something. I kinda thought the marketing was a bit silly. I didnt really understand associating an airline with rail service but then again I have only taken one marketing class so what do I know. Maybe they were trying to add the simplicity of rail service with air travel.

Moneyshot-
I have asked myself the same question about AIRBUS....why equate thyself with a bus?....Those wacky Europeans!

A friend of mine flew the MCO-EWR roundtrip on Jettrain a couple of times because of their low fares and good service. He managed to get me a safety card from them. I have a few of their timetables and some pictures. I even have one of those 1/400 die-cast models of a Jettrain DC-9-30.
