It's standard (or perhaps substandard...haven't tried out true LH
Business Class service. No caviar, and I don't think we had a choice of Hors d'oeuvre. I'm trying to think back through the two meal services...
The fare from MUC
r/t was in the neighborhood of $5,000 or something like that. I non-revved on the flight, so can't really help you there. LH
or Expedia would be the best bet.
When I was checking, I booked using the highest, unrestricted Y class fare, which LH
even allowed passengers to book using lufthansa.com. The price difference really is neglegable.
The seat is nothing special. It's really stripped down when compared to British Airways' seat. No built in phone, the power outlet was coverd up, no additional cocktail tray, no PTV, no audio, pretty much just a very, very basic seat. The cradle was nice, but the recline of the seat as well as the pitch of the footrest was piddly--very poor at best.
The seats on the A319 just look horrible to me. They have the same pitch as the 737's (55") and try to have the lay-flat (yet on an angle) seats, but they have a quite obvious very large kink in the middle of them. They look just like cheap plastic surrounding them and fake leather. Again, a very VERY basic seat.
Duvet service--no. Simple woolen blanket IIRC and a pillow.
The only real thrill about flying on it is the fact that it's your
plane. Nothing else is special about it.
