I know both ATR72's are in the hangar in CHC awaiting direction from Origin on their maintenance. Expect great things with Mike Pero now involved in the running of the airline.

Do you know if both ATR's will be in CHC on 2nd July because i could be in CHC on that day. Because I really would like to get a picture of both ATR's before they are repainted into different colours.

I can't see either of them going anywhere for a while, as they will require EOL checks (End Of Lease). Even if you are in CHC, they will be in the hangar, and unless you know someone who works for Air NZ Engineering, you won't be able to get in. Air NZ are VERY strict on visitors these days. I am down there myself for a week from Monday, but not sure what time I am leaving on Friday, otherwise I would offer to take you inside for a looksy. Do you live in WLG or AKL? Maybe a tour of the AKL base can be arranged if you wish.

Flying-Tiger - The news reports regarding the new investment in Origin Pacific last week stated they would be focusing their fleet on the Jetstream 41, of which they already have a number in their fleet. There was a topic about it about a week ago (but with the search function not working at the moment, I can't find it...)

QO will be introuducing a new paint scheme. Mike Pero, a successful New Zealand Businessmen who founded 'Mike Pero Mortgages' and a group of Wellington residents have each brought a 25% share in the airline.

I have just received an e-mail from Torin Wilson (MEL photography) and he has advised me that there is one QO ATR parked outside the Hanger, which has been there for ages and the other ATR is MIA.
