The projection stated by Nyc777 is absolutely correct. Etihad is planning to have about 50 aircraft by 2008.
There is a lot of projection for growth in Middle Eastern/Asian/ African travel. Etihad is looking to get a jump start on this and prosper along with EK
(who have 49 A380) on order.) Not to mention that EK
has an additional large order for widebody airbus and boeing due for delivery in the next five years.
The pattern for the Gulf airlines is predominantly growth, my concern is that there will be an oversaturation of airplanes in the region causing congestion and delays similar to what Europe experiences sometimes.
What do you guys think?
