SAA New J Class

Thu Jul 01, 2004 3:00 pm

Does anyone have anymore information on this? I seem to lost the link on this.

I think they are the ONLY airline in the world to introduce TRULY FLAT 180 DEGREES FORWARD FACING, NON ANGLE. Flat bed seats in J Class.

Am I correct?>

I believe you are correct. All the promo material I have seen from SA shows the seats in a complete horizontal position. They do not look angled like the new LH/AF/NW/SQ/CX/JL/QF seats.
It's been swell, but the swelling has gone down.

This is a good website dedicated to flat premium class seats (crikey there are some specific websites out there, aren't there!):

Hopefully that will help you with your questions on business class seating. To my knowledge, yes SAA is the only airline offering a forward facing business class seat that reclines to be flat and level with the floor (not including BA, who have both forward and backward facing seats, but I am assuming that was not in the spirt of your question)

I tried that site already, but I couldn't find the official product page on SAA.

Also just to clarify, What I mean NON-Angle is that, the New Upper Class Suite angles away from the window. Whereas these SAA seats actually are parallel to the window.

It does look pretty comfortable. but does anyone have the SAA links?

SAA does not have an official New Business Class product page on their website. But the information you get on is provided by SAA. I also have several official marketing brochures about the new SAA J Class here at home and they all give you the same information as

SAA's website is, unfortunately, hardly ever up to date when it comes to product or fleet information.

KQ's 767 C class seats also meet your criteria. However, KQ likes to call its Premier World cabin First Class, but the booking classes are J, C and Z.
