Ever Flew On Muse Air/Transtar?

Thu Feb 17, 2000 11:56 am

Has anyone in here flown with Muse Air and/or Transtar? I flew them in 1986 on the MSY-MCO route. They flew MD-80's, DC-9-50's, and a single DC-9-30 named "Spike" for a while. As i recall the service was very good. They had a mini-hub in MSY w/ like 20 flights to HOU, plus nonstops to Florida and Los Angeles. Southwest bought them out in 1987 I believe.

Muse Air/TranStar

Spike?????????? DC-9?
I know that MuseAir was renamed TranStar as a result of the WN buyout. Does anyone know why MC was not simply integrated into Southwest? I think that MD-80's and DC-9's in WN's livery would've looked great!

I love Muse/Transtar flew Muse MIA-MSY-LAS a few times and flew Transtar from MIA-TPA 2 a week for about a year. They had the best colors (Transtar) with the deep dark blue...
