Iberia And Cathay Pacific Start Code Share

Mon Jul 05, 2004 10:18 am

Well third time lucky, this topic has now been deleted TWICE!!

Cathay Pacific and Iberia started their codeshare between Hong Kong and Spain on July 2nd via Amsterdam. More great news for Cathay and also good news for Iberia passengers.

why have they not started codeshare between Hong Kong and Spain via London? It would be much more convenient for many spaniards not living in MAD or BCN, but I'm afraid other Oneworld members like BA/QF would not be very happy having CX picking on their spanish share for the Kangaroo route

Why has this topic been deleted Twice? This code share is similar to the MAD-AMS-NRT already operating with JAL. I think that's why they chose that route. I think CX actually wanted IB to operate the flight but that was not possible.

Bullpit,

You are correct, plus Cathay has trouble filling up it's AMS flight, so this will be a boost to the passenger numbers on CX271/270.
