Sleeping In SEA

Mon Jul 05, 2004 4:26 pm

Well im going to Seattle today the 5th of july and coming back the 8th in the morning. ALL with Delta The only problem is that I only have a hotel for the 5th and the 6th. So I guess i plan to sleep at SEA airport for the 7th. And leave 6am on the 8th

Can I do that? how is it?

Anyways I can try to get a red eye on delta back home to miami but you know delta they are going to charge me some bullcrap fee. Anyways I am going to try to beg them to let me get on that red eye flight, without some enomrous fee. Think I will have any luck with that?

Why don't you simply get a hotel near Sea-Tac for the night of the 7th? You can nab a 2* on priceline for under $30 and a 3* for about $10 more.

I'm with Sean, there are several decent cheap hotels right around the airport in the $30-$50 range. Almost all of them provide shuttle service to SeaTac. And it's a heck of a lot better than sleeping on the floor of the terminal.

Barring that, yes, I've seen people spend the night at the airport. All of the chairs are designed to make it uncomfortable to lay across them, so the floor is your only option.

Good luck, whichever route you take.

There is a call board down in baggage claim. When you get in, call around and see what you can find.

Dude.....Go to Comfort Inn @ Sea-Tac Airport....they're pretty decent and reasonable priced. Ive stayed there a few times and I personally enjoy it. Besides you'd be next door to the AS company store and across from AS HQ.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

If you really want to save a dime, stay at the Green Tourtise hostel downtown. Last I checked it was $20-25/night. There's a HI hostel near Pike Place Market, but I don't know what they charge. Both hostels you can reach by public transportation for under $2.00. If you've never stayed at a youth hostel, I don't suggest you make this your first experience.

Usually you can get the Doubletree near the airport for $30 on Priceline, but with the holiday you apparently are having trouble.

Not everyone knows the IATA codes for airlines, in fact MOST people don't know them and those who do typically know only a few.
The same goes for airports too btw...

I'd wish people here'd stop using them and make their posts understandable to normal people.

I was in Seattle last September and stayed by the airport because I had a 7:00am flight. I stayed at the Red Roof Inn across from Sea-Tac and it only about $40.00. It was very clean and comfortable.

Downtown Seattle...go to the Green Tortoise Youth Hostel for like $12 bucks a nite and breakfast is sometimes thrown on (I think). Plus you're only a five minute walk away from the Airport bus, which only takes about 10 minutes to get there anyways...
